There is plenty of info on this forum regarding the factory seconds,search away.These days they are pretty much all factory seconds anyway.Īnyway.the official word at the time was that certain instruments were considered seconds because of minor cosmetic flaws that did not affect the playability or structural integrity of the instrument. The concept of a "factory second" is meaningless in a used Gibson guitar.
